Design and Construction

The Design & Construction team is responsible for assuring that facilities are designed and built in a way that supports effective teaching and student learning. The team uses the district’s Education Specifications and Technical Guidelines to guide their work and collaborates with Learning Services to assure that both documents are kept up to date with curriculum and instruction needs. Design & Construction is also responsible for building and safety code compliance and for maintaining the district Asset Management database and technical drawing library. The team also conducts Facility Condition Audits for each school and auxiliary building on a five year cycle.
