New Hire Orientations are approximately 3 hours long if you are also attending the benefits orientation.

Classified Orientation Checklist
New Hires - Identification is required at an orientation session. Your IDs will verify your eligibility to work. Please click here to see a list of acceptable forms of identification. Some of the most common documents are listed below.
Combination 1: Unexpired Passport (no other documents are needed with a passport)
Combination 2: Driver's License (or State ID Card) and Social Security Card
Combination 3: Driver's License (or State ID Card) and Birth Certificate
Please complete all items on this page prior to your orientation session.
Please download, complete and bring each of the following forms to orientation. (We will be discussing these forms during orientation with questions that you may have.) Most of these forms are form filled. These forms MUST be completed prior to orientation.

FINGERPRINT CARD - All classified employees are required to get fingerprinted unless you are given other instructions. Fingerprint cards can be picked up from our Human Resources department. Please pick up the fingerprint card prior to orientation.
If you are required to get a fingerprint card completed, please use this list for Fingerprinting Agencies.
You could possibly receive 5 working steps for previous work experience. This will be discussed at orientation. Please download this form Verification of Experience Form.
Only the top portion of the form will be filled out by the employee. It is the employee's responsibility to submit to previous employer(s).
As of July 1, 2012 – all Classified and Administrative Employees will start contributing an additional 1.5% to PERA. The 1.5% will be taken from earnings as a reduction prior to generated monthly gross earnings. Additional contribution to be reflected in monthly pay advices beginning with the July 2012 Pay Advice.
