Medical and Dental Care Mobile Services arrive at Adams 12 Five Star Schools
Adams 12 Five Star Schools welcomes the Rocky Mountain Youth Ronald McDonald House Charities Medical and Dental Care Mobile Program to our school district. The program will serve children in the district by appointment at three locations two days per week.
The care mobile van will be parked in the Thornton High School parking lot just off Eppinger, behind the Early Childhood Education Center (455 E. Eppinger Blvd., Thornton 80229) every Monday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The mobile will serve students on alternating Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at McElwain Elementary School (1020 Dawson St., Thornton 80229) and Coronado Hills Elementary School (8300 Downing St., Thornton 80229).
The care mobile will provide free (for students with Medicaid or CHP+) or low cost ($10 per visit for families who are uninsured or underinsured) medical and dental services for children in the Five Star District. Parents will need to complete a registration form (at the school or on the care mobile) and make an appointment. For medical appointments, parents may call 303-360-8811. Dental appointments may be scheduled by calling 303-343-8001. Bilingual staff is available both on the care mobile and by phone to assist Spanish-speaking families.
The care mobile will also be at Thornton High School on Tuesday, Sept. 18 and 25 to provide free or low-cost immunizations for children from birth to age 18. These immunizations will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. by appointment.
