Free and Reduced Meal Applications

Applications for Free and Reduced Price School Meals are available online in English and Spanish. We encourage families to apply online at www.myschoolapps.com for meal benefits as it is convenient for our families.

Applying online includes:

  • Quicker approval process for eligibility
  • Accuracy of submitted application
  • Information release form for waiving student fees (see below)
  • Assisting your child's school in receiving additional funds

Paper application are available in the cafeteria at your student’s school.

Although we are allowed 10 operating days to process applications, we will process the applications as quickly as possible. Parents must pay full price for meals, until the application is approved. APPROVAL OF YOUR APPLICATION CANNOT BE RETROACTIVE TO MEALS ALREADY SERVED.

Please note: If a student was approved for free and reduced meals in our school district last year, he/she may retain that carryover eligibility for the first 30 operating days of school. We treat free and reduced status in a confidential manner. Families may apply at any time throughout the school year. If approved for free or reduced meals, take advantage of this valuable benefit to help stretch the family budget.

At schools that are not on the National School Lunch Program parents will need to fill out a Family Economic Data Survey in order to see if they qualify for meal benefits. Students are not eligible for the first 30 days of temporary status.  These schools are: Northglenn High School, Thornton High SchoolProspect Ridge Academy and Stargate School. Please contact these schools for more details regarding their lunch programs.

United States citizenship or immigration status is not a condition of eligibility for free and reduced price benefits.

Information Release Forms

Adams 12 Five Star Schools discounts or waives certain student fees based on a student's free and reduced status. This status is protected by USDA government regulations; therefore, in order to have student fees discounted or waived, parents must sign an information release form that gives Nutrition Services permission for Adams 12 Five Star Schools to verify a student's free and reduced status. For current school year fee waivers this can be achieved two ways:

  1. Sign the Information Release form as part of your online application (easiest method)
  2. Print the Information Release form (below), fill it out and return to your school office.
