SES Providers

Update - August 2012

The Colorado NCLB Flexibility Waiver has given school districts the ability to restrict the number of SES providers by going through a provider selection process. School districts are not required to limit SES providers but may select a maximum number of SES providers to offer tutoring for students. School districts must offer parents a minimum of three outside SES providers from which to choose. Districts may allow schools to select the providers, or providers may be selected for schools at the district level. Selection of providers must be conducted with a majority of parent representation on the selection committee in the selection process. Please keep in mind that approval during the RFP approval process entitles a provider to be placed on the SEA list of approved SES providers in the state of Colorado. There is no guarantee that a provider will be selected by a school district during the provider selection process at the district/school level. All decisions regarding the selection of providers by a school district are final. Additionally, there is no guarantee that a district approved provider will be selected by parents to serve students. School districts will send parents of eligible students, at schools with a Priority Improvement or a Turnaround plan type assignment, information regarding approved providers in the district. Parents then choose the SES provider that best suits their child’s needs. Adams 12 Five Star School has chosen to restrict the number of SES providers serving in our district for the 2012-2013 school year.

The following SES providers have been chosen to serve in Adams 12 for the 2012-2013 school year.

  • Academic Coaching
  • Culb Z
  • Results Learning
  • Sylvan Learning
  • The Marian School
  • Tutoring Club of Westminster

*Adams 12 Five Star Schools has made the decision to once again limit the number of SES providers serving in our district for the 2013-2014 school year. The list of chosen providers will be made available prior to the start of the 2013-2014 school year.
